Hi there! I made six fun note cards with sets from Sizzix along with a few 3-D embossing folders. To add to the fun, I added googly eyes to a few of the characters to give it an interactive element to them.

Each set comes with stamps and dies for 3 fun characters per set! The first set is called Crazy Characters #2 and the second one is called Fruity Friends #1.

For both sets, I, simply cut the images out from colored cardstock or from specialty paper from a variety of the different Sizzix Opulent Card Packs. Then I glued all the appropriate pieces together to create my characters.

For the Crazy Characters #2, I used Sizzix / Tim Holtz 3-D Cobblestone #2 Embossing Folder on brown cardstock. And lightly ink blended with Distress Inks in Hickory Smoke and Black Soot to give a smoky look to it for this “Lava You Lots” notecard.

For the remaining crazy characters, I used Ombre Glitter paper from Sizzix Opulent “Mystical” Card Pack and the green floral sheet from Lawn Fawn’s Flower Market Petite Paper Pack for the backgrounds.

For the Fruity Friends #1 set, I used several different embossing folders for each of the fruity characters. The first note card, I embossed with the Mini Kaleidoscope 3-D Texture Fades Mini in green shimmer paper to match the zesty lemon! Next, I embossed with Geometric Flowers 3-D Textured Impressions in blue shimmer paper to pair it up with the glittered strawberry! And lastly for the Mon Cheri Amour note card, I paired it with the Celebrate 3-D Textured Impressions embossing folder in pink shimmer paper. The shimmer papers are all from the Sizzix Opulent “3 Muted” Card Pack. And for the sunglasses on the cherry, I used holographic paper to give it a sheen.

These notecards were so fun to make and easy to put together with a few embossing folders! And would be great notecards to make for the summer to let others know how much you appreciate them!
