Don’t be tamed card

The Soaring 3D embossing folder and Feathered Dreams press plates were calling to me for this card. I used distress oxide villainous potion to ink the embossing folder and get that purple background while leaving the text white. You can see the detail is amazing on this folder and even more so because i used BetterPress paper for the base. It embosses beautifully and the details are amazing.

Using the reddish gold Yasutomo watercolor, i splattered the panel to give it a little bit of bling. I also use the watercolor on a scrap piece of paper and painted it so I could frame my sentiment.

For the feathers, I used my Glimmer system to foil them. The first feather was foiled with Spellbinders Moondust hot foil. The second feather was foiled using the PinkFresh solid hot foil plate to get the negative of the feather and not waste that piece. I do this technique a lot especially with sentiment strips. That way i have foiled words on white and white words on foiled background.

I popped the feathers up using foam dots and glue dthe sentiment strip on the feathers. I also reinforce the sentiment strip with foam dots on the ends so it wouldn’t sink down.
