Welcome to Technique Lab: Inky Edition, an exciting two-day virtual cardmaking and paper crafting event featuring six independent craft stores from across the United States and Canada!

Whether you’re an experienced cardmaker or just beginning your creative journey, this online crafting event is designed to inspire you, introduce new techniques, and help you discover exciting ways to use inks, stamps, stencils, texture pastes, and specialty papers.

Throughout the weekend, six talented instructors will each teach a 90 Minute LIVE class inside our exclusive private Facebook group. Every instructor will use the same core kit but demonstrate different techniques, creative approaches, and project ideas.

You’ll create at least 12 cards during six technique-focused classes, discover new ways to use your crafting supplies, and connect with fellow paper crafters who share your passion for creativity!

Six Classes. Six Creative Perspectives.

What makes Technique Lab different from an ordinary online cardmaking class?

Six instructors will teach with the same kit, but each will bring a different creative perspective!

Throughout the weekend, you’ll explore creative techniques using inks, stamps, stencils, texture paste, and other specialty products.

Each instructor will demonstrate at least two card projects, sharing practical tips and techniques you can use long after the event.

Our goal is simple: We want you to finish the weekend excited about everything you’ve learned and inspired to keep creating!

How Does the Virtual Event Work?

Event Dates: Friday, February 12, and Saturday, February 13, 2027

Location: Online, inside a private Facebook group

Classes: Six live, 90 minute instructional sessions

Projects: At least 12 handmade cards

Access: Live classes, project instructions, and class recordings available through the private Facebook group

Once registered, you’ll receive instructions from your participating store for joining the private Technique Lab Facebook group.

During the event, you can craft along with the instructors, ask questions, learn new techniques, and share your finished projects with other participants.

Can’t attend every class live? Class recordings will be available in the private Facebook group so you can create at your own pace.

1. What is Technique Lab: Inky Edition?

Technique Lab: Inky Edition is a two-day virtual cardmaking and paper crafting event taking place February 12–13, 2027. Six independent craft stores from the United States and Canada will each teach a live, 90 minute technique-based class. You’ll learn creative ways to use inks, stamps, stencils, texture mediums, and more while making at least 12 handmade cards throughout the weekend!

2. What’s the difference between the Standard and Deluxe Kits?

Both kits include the supplies needed for all six classes, including 49 & Market inks, an exclusive stamp set and stencil, texture paste, specialty papers, and more.

The Deluxe Kit includes four additional products: an extra 49 & Market ink pad, a second exclusive stamp set, Stickles, and a Mini Mister. These extras provide even more creative possibilities but are not required to complete the classes.

3. Do I need additional supplies to participate?

Yes. You’ll need your basic cardmaking supplies, including a paper trimmer, scissors, adhesives, craft mat, and other commonly used crafting tools. A detailed supply list and any necessary preparation instructions will be provided before the event by each instructor.

4. Do I need Facebook, and what if I can’t attend live?

Yes, a Facebook account is required because all six classes take place inside a private Facebook group. You can participate live, ask questions, and share your creations with other crafters. Can’t attend live? No problem! Class recordings and instructions will remain available in the private group so you can create at your own pace.

5. When does registration open, and how will I receive my kit?

Registration opens November 6, 2026! Each of the six participating stores handles its own registrations, shipping, and local pickup options. Shipping is additional. Kits will be prepared and distributed before the February 12–13 event. Contact the store where you purchased your kit for specific shipping, pickup, and cancellation policies.
