Hi there! Hope everyone is excited to see the new release from Lawn Fawn’s Mini May Release! I had the pleasure of making a few design team samples to share with all of you today.
As you can see, I had so much fun with a few of the new sets: Magic Iris Beehive Add-On, More Magic Messages, Honeycomb Shaker Gift Tag, Fireworks Hot Plate, and the Giant Hello Sunshine die sets.

I turned the Honeycomb Shaker Gift Tag into a shaker with some Finnabair Metallic Microbeads. I love using microbeads as they move really well in the shakers and I just love the sound they make!

For the Magic Iris Beehive Add-On, I paired it with one of the sentiments from the More Magic Messages set. How fun is this beehive and look at those bees! They are so cute!! Did you see I used vellum for the wings??!! Definitely a must have set!

If you are into hot foiling, then you need to check out the new Fireworks Hot Plate! I foiled these with Spellbinder’s Speckled Prism foil and inked over them with Distress Inks in: Squeezed Lemonade, Kitsch Flamingo and Prize Ribbon for a quick and easy background! The hot plate also comes with a set of dies so you can cut out the fireworks and pop-them on a card!

And lastly, if you are a fan of giant sentiments and/or inlays, then the Giant Hello Sunshine is a must have. I made two different cards using this die. The first one did not require any ink blending. I simply cut out the sentiment from a sheet of the Really Rainbow Petite Paper pack and layered it on green glitter paper from Sizzix. Then I glued the panel to a sheet from the What’s Sewing On Petite Paper Pack. Viola!

For the second Giant Hello Sunshine card, I ink blended a white panel to make a rainbow using Distress Inks: Candied Apple, Squeezed Lemonade and Tumbled Glass. Then I cut the Giant Hello Sunshine sentiment from that panel to get my rainbow sentiment. I then paired the rainbow sentiment with the Puffy Clouds Border dies and Fly High stamp set to make this card.

Detailed recipe cards for these samples can be found at the store. So please swing by and check them out as well as pick up the new releases! And while you’re there, check out the Creative Escape’s Magnetic Glass Mats (as seen in the first picture). They come in two different sizes and great for ink blending and all your crafting needs! I love mine!
