Interested in foiling or love foiling? Then you’ll love the new hot foil plates from Hero Arts! Today I will be showing you a few design team samples using the following new hot foil plates from this release: Peony, Large Circle Confetti, and Magnolia Branches.

When I first saw the Peony Hot Foil Plate, I knew I had to pair it with the new Positive Script Bold Prints cling stamp!

For this first card, I stamped the cling stamp with Versamark ink on black card stock with my Misti, to get a tone-on-tone effect. Next, I heat set the stamped print with my heat gun to ensure it was thoroughly dry. Once it was dry, I foiled the Peony hot plate with Spellbinder’s Sparkled Red foil with my Glimmer Hot Foil System, to give the look of an embedded peony on my printed background. Since the focal point of this panel was the foiled peony, I added a simple sentiment from the Friendly Messages Bundle set and attached it with foam tape to give it dimension.

With the negative peony foil, I reverse foil it to make a simple second card using PinkFresh Studio’s Hot Foil Plate. Again, I attached a sentiment from the Friendly Messages Bundle set to wrap up this card.

For my next card, I used the Large Circle Confetti hot foil plate. This plate is a great plate to have as its pretty universal for so many different occasions. I love foiling it with Spellbinder’s Opal foil on white card stock. It gives a subtle “wow” effect without overpowering the main image. Below is an example of what I am talking about. For this card I paired it with the Tulip Bouquet Stamp, Dies, and Stencils set!

My last design is using the new Magnolia Branches Hot Foil Plate, which can be paired with the previously released Magnolia Branches Cover plate. For this card, I foiled the Magnolia Branches in Spellbinder’s Speckled Prism foil to give me a beautiful holographic background. Since the foiled magnolias are the main attraction, all this card needed was a simple sentiment to tie it all together.
